TRAILER....
The room was silent except for the soft, broken sobs that filled the air. Shehnaaz sat on the cold marble floor of her bedroom, her back against the edge of the large bed, knees pulled tightly to her chest. Tears streamed down her fair cheeks, soaking the neckline of her red blouse.... Her long pallu lay forgotten beside her, crumpled like her shattered hopes.....
Tears streamed down from her face, ruining her makeup and staining her clothes. She pressed her face into her hands, trying to muffle the sounds of her sobs.....
“Woh mujhe chahte hi nahi hain…” she whispered to the empty room, her voice cracking, she was shaking badly. "woh is nikkah se khush nahin hain...na hi kabhi honge."
Every single corner of this large, beautiful house reminded her of how unwanted she was. She looked at the large bed, which is neatly made by her , where he barely even looked at her. Her mind drifted back on their Nikkah night...She had accidentally overheard him talking to his parents in the living room....
His voice had been calm, but his words had broken her heart into pieces....
“Main is shaadi ke liye taiyar nahi tha, Abbu,” Siddharth had said, his tone cold and distant "aap dono ki zid ne sab kharab kar diya hai ...Look at her... She is too young for me... I cannot accept her as my wife... Yeh rishta sahi nahi hai...aage jaake bhi sahi nahi hone wala ...Main usse accept nahi kar sakta... There is an huge age gap that I cannot ignore, and I cannot force myself over her like this ...uski umar toh dekh lethe aap dono ek baar ....jayada se jayada 18 ki hai wo"....
Those words had pierced her heart like a thousand needles. She had stood there, frozen, as her new husband openly rejected her in front of his family.....
His mother had tried to argue, telling him about family honor and how lovely Shehnaaz was, but he had simply walked away. He had married her only because of his family's pressure. He had signed the nikkah papers, accepted the responsibility, but he had locked his heart away from her completely....
Shehnaaz rubbed her arms, feeling a sudden chill. She had entered this house with so many dreams. She knew it was an arranged marriage. She knew he was older, more mature, and serious, while she was still trying to find her place in the world. But she had genuinely believed that love could grow. She thought that if she tried her best, she could win him over.
Now, six months into this loveless union, the pain had become unbearable....
"Koshish ki," she sobbed out loud, the words choking her. "Bohot koshish ki meine iss rishte ko... aage badhane ki...Per mere shauhar chahte hi nahin hain mujhe toh kya hi karun mein...."
She had tried everything. She cooked his favorite meals, she made sure his clothes were ready before he left for work, and she always greeted him with a warm smile when he came home late. But every time she tried to talk to him, he would give short, one-word answers. When she stood close to him, he would step back. He treated her like a guest ... whom he was forced to look after, he never try to behave like a husband behave with his wife nor he show that he wanted her in future too....
The ignorance hurt her more than open anger. His cold behavior was like a slow poison, draining her happiness day by day. She felt small, foolish, and completely out of place in his mature, quiet world.
Tonight, the weight of it all became too heavy to carry.
"Aur nahin," she said fiercely, suddenly standing up from the floor. "Aur nahin seh sakti main..."
She wiped her tears aggressively with the back of her hand, leaving her cheeks red. A sudden wave of determination washed over her sadness. She could not keep living like a ghost in her own home. She could not spend every night waiting for a man who looked through her as if she did not exist.
She walked over to the closet and pulled out a large suitcase. She threw it onto the bed.
With shaking hands, she started pulling her clothes off the hangers. She did not care how she packed them. She just grabbed her basic outfits, her daily clothes, and started stuffing them into the bag. She left behind the heavy jewelry his family had given her. She left behind the expensive gifts. She didn't want any of it.
She needed to get away from here. Away from this room, away from his cold glances, and away from his heavy silence. Away from this house. Away from his indifference world. Away from the pain of being unwanted in her own marriage. She could not continue to live as an unwanted burden. She deserved to be loved, or at least, she deserved to live without feeling rejected every single second of the day....
Once she gain the mountain of courage after taking a one hour advice from her mother in law about their married life....that day she majs herself soo courageous and touched his arm gently...."Siddharth jii .. hum dono ko time chahiye iss risthe ke liye... Main samajhti hoon aapki feelings. Lekin kya hum try kar sakte hain? Ek doosre ko jaanne ki ...?"
But she gets his response in extremely cold way.... "Shehnaaz, you're young. You deserve someone who can match your energy, your dreams. I can't give you that. This nikkah was forced one....toh kuch naa hi jaano mere baare mein toh hi aacha hoga tumhare liye ..."
As she packed more urgently, when the memories flooded her mind making her more frustrated....but one more flash came to her mind making her sob loudly...The day of their nikah, when he had looked at her after saying qubool hai...he just stood rooted seeing her first time like he just went unbelievably suprise seeing her beauty ...he keep starring her with those intense eyes....but after that he take a step back like she may burn his world....the small moment when she thought she saw care in his gaze, only for it to disappear on the same night.....
And now she needed a break... She needed to breathe again...She needed time to heal her broken heart.....
Before leaving the room, she looked at their wedding photo on the wall. Siddharth looked handsome and serious. She looked hopeful and shy.
As she zipped the suitcase shut, and look around the room. She knew that when he came home tonight and found her gone, he might finally feel the relief he had been waiting for from this six months....
With one last look at the room that was supposed to be her paradise, but became hell ....She picked up her suitcase and walked out, closing the door softly behind her.
The journey of their arranged marriage had just begun but for Shehnaaz, it felt like the end....
Do you think Shehnaaz should leave immediately, or give Siddharth one final chance to open up? Why? He was creating distance between them ??......or sidharth going to regret his own act???....
Wait for the chapters to reveal the reason.....
